To publish and raise awareness of comics by and about Cambodians, to be seen by a global audience.
“Our Books” aims to be Cambodia’s first choice for those seeking local comics information and publications.
We work to accomplish this via the following means:
- Increasing the number and quality of comics available in Cambodia, both by publishing and facilitating others to publish, in order to strengthen the commercial comics market – including:
- publication of comics for both entertainment and education
- translation/publishing of of Khmer comics overseas
- translation/publishing of foreign comics in
- Archiving and documenting information regarding historical comics and classic creators.
- Assist comic creators, literary organizations and art organizations in raising the public profile of comics via meetings, organizations and exhibitions.
- In addition to support from donors, developing plans for income generation via comics sales and skills outsourcing.
